Life Saving Measures

The CPR and Naloxone presentations were very insightful and I am grateful that I was able to partake in both of them. A couple things I learned from the Naloxone presentation is there are safe injection sites, and how to properly help someone in an opioid overdose using the Naloxone kit. Something I learned from the CPR presentation is that you will probably end up breaking someone’s ribs while performing CPR. These presentations have prepared me in case I get into a situation where someone is in cardiac arrest or having an opioid overdose.

Critical and Reflective Thinking Competency Reflection

“I can analyze my own beliefs and consider views that do not fit with them”. I relate to this statement because although I’m pretty sturdy in my own beliefs, I also always take into consideration how other people think and feel about a situation before moving forward. My views can also be changed if someone makes a good argument and makes sense in what they are saying.
