The Writing Process
For my interview essay I chose to interview my grandpa. His decision to move to Canada or stay in his home country Fiji. Something that I learned when I was interviewing him was when he first came here it was hard for him to get settled into a home and getting used to the change of weather was also hard for him. He also told me thatI should always have a back up plan for any decisions that I make in the future. A challenge that i was faced with was that i kept having to go back and ask my grandfather more questions. Something that i will do in the future to prevent this is i will ask him more question at once instead of having to go back and ask him.

My strategies for collecting relevant information for specific tasks include listening to others and asking questions.
In discussions and conversations, I help to build and extend understanding by asking follow up questions when interviewing people.
