If there is disagreement within the group, I find it helpful to go over the topics at hand and try to hear everyone’s opinion. Once everyone has shared input, we can as a group choose to vote. Those who cannot agree should not work in a group.
I make an effort to include missing voices/ perspectives by advocating for them and bringing their idea up to the group. i believe that everyone deserves to be heard.
As an active listener, I notice that I tend to relate myself to that person’s situation or story. I do this almost subconsciously because I am just trying to understand them better.
