Spanish 11 Reflection

Our mark on our first Spanish 11 dialogue

Creative Thinking

In our first Spanish 11 script , I used the core competency creative thinking. I created this script with my group and we used all of our note packages and handouts, to help us and we used our minds to come up with the dialogue of the crops we came up with so many situation and things we could say and we created this all by the flow of it all and the criteria we had to meet to achieve a good grade. Creative thinking is a big part in making a script making process, you have to think outside the box’s and come up with creative and humour concepts, it is what makes the whole dialogue and brings it all together.

Communication

I’m this the creation of this script I used communication, in our group we had to communicate with each other our ideas and what we thought should be put into the script. We also also used communication in our presentation, we had to present this to the whole class and we had to communicate our scrip out loud as if we are having a conversation in front of them . Communication was a big part in this script making and presentation because without communication this whole dialogue wouldn’t meet the criteria and wouldn’t be complete and overall we would’ve achieved a good grade.

Brain Disorder Assignment Reflection

What Core Competencies did you Demonstrate With the Brain Disorder Story Assignment?

Creative Thinking and Communication

The core competencies i demonstrated with the brain disorder assignment is creative thinking. I can get ideas when use my senses to explore, i demonstrated this by doing my research on bi – polar disorder, i gather facts and information on it, to help my partner and i to create a story on bi – polar disorder. I also demonstrated communication, i can work with others to achieve a common goal, i do my share. My partner and i, split up different responsibilities in the group equally , and worked well on the project together. We wanted to achieve a good grade on this assignment, so we worked hard and did our shares in the project, to achieve a decent grade. With this assignment, my partner and i worked har, put in our efforts, gather well done research and put together a creative, colourful, well thought out brain disorder story on bi – polar disorder.

Research Assignment Reflection

What Core Competencies did you Demonstrate With the Research Assignment?

Communication

The core competencies i demonstrated with the research assignment is communication. With communication, i can be an active listener, i support and encourage the person speaking. I demonstrated this by when we were in our groups gathering research and speaking on the topic of music, i listened to each and everyone of my group members who were sharing their ideas, and i was an active listener to those who were speaking. Also, with Communication, i can understand and share information about a topic that is important to me. I demonstrated this by when we were talking about our research on music and how it affect peoples efforts when doing school work, i know quite a lot about music and then different genres, and i’ve listened to music while doing school work before. So, i shared my knowledge and thoughts on how i feel about listening to music and how i think others feel about their work efforts while listening to music, based on the different genres of music.

Foundations of Mathematics Pre – Calculus 10 Core Competencies

My Artifact Is An 8.2 Extra Practice Sheet From My Trigonometry Unit, In 8.2 We Were Learning About Sine and Cosine

Communication

Communicating

Examples of where I communicate clearly and purposefully can be seen in my trigonometry homework. I get extra practice sheets to go along with the lesson I learned that day. I communicate clearly on these extra practice sheets by showing my work and achieving the correct answer on the problem I had to solve.

Thinking

Critical and Reflective Thinking

I used to think trigonometry was difficult at the start of the unit because I’ve never learned it before and now I know that it’s not as difficult as it looks because I learned how to do trigonometry and the different aspects of it and how to apply it to word problems, complex triangles and different types of triangles. I learned this through lessons taught my teacher and taking notes down so I can comprehend how to do trigonometry.

I use evidence to make judgements or decisions as demonstrated in this artifact. In this picture of my trigonometry extra practice sheet, I use my notes taken down in class and ally the notes taken and the knowledge I received and apply it to my extra practice sheets where I use all these resources to help me make decisions and judgment calls on how to solve these problems correctly.

Japanese – Canadian Internment Paragraph

The Japanese Canadians are a danger to Canadians and need to be eliminated as a threat. The Japanese Canadians deserve and need to be sent away to Internment camps, removed from living amongst Canadians. I feel this way because there is fear by Canadian women that if the Japanese soldiers invade or attack Canada that they will be raped or killed by Japanese soldiers. Japanese soldiers are already killing and raping innocent women in Canada, we have witnessed the treatment of Canadian medical staff, where doctors were killed, and nurses were raped by the Japanese soldiers. The Japanese soldiers have no right to be able to do these terrible crimes to Canadian women, these women have not done anything to warrant such horrific crimes, absolutely nothing! Many other Canadian women and I have witnessed the raping and killing of the Canadian women. It is sickening to know this is happening every day, women are living in fear. With the possible invasion of Canada by the Japanese, are all Canadian females in danger? We live in this great country of Canada, we cannot live with this constant fear, afraid when someone knocks on a front door, how is it? Afraid to go outside for a walk, afraid of who is around the next street corner, terrified thoughts are always in my head thinking “Am I going to be raped or killed today?” All this fear of being in public in addition of the fear if they invade or attack Canada, is so frightening. With these crimes happening around us all, the gathering of all the male Japanese Canadian soldiers and sending them to the Internment camps, will help ease and take away the fear from all us women. Removal of these Japanese Canadian soldiers will eliminate the threat and danger they have placed on Canadian society and protect the lives of Canadian women. Furthermore, in addition to my feelings towards Japanese Canadians being put in Internment Camps, the Japanese Canadians could be “potential” spies for the Japanese. We have just seen the Japanese invade Pearl Harbour and conquer Hong Kong, they could be planning an invasion or attack on Canada next?! It is known that Japanese Canadian are living all along the West Coast of British Columbia, Canada. These Japanese Canadians could be helping Japan plan an attack or invasion now, as they walk our streets, live here amongst all of us Canadians. They could be strategizing an invasion and attack on our great country of Canada, it is possible. The Japanese Canadians are a ticking time bomb and need to be removed from Canadian society to protect us all and Canada. We sit here and now question the Japanese Canadians loyalty to Canada. Are Japanese Canadians, the men, and women, loyal to Canada, would they battle alongside us against the Japanese? I do not feel that loyalty, I feel they would turn their backs against our great country, despite working, raising families in Canada. These Japanese Canadians are dangerous and could destroy Canada with their invasion or attack. The soldiers need to be put in Internment camps to remove the fear of being invaded, attacked, and having Canadian society being destroyed. From my opinion and the points illustrated, the Japanese Canadians are a danger and threat to other Canadians and need to be sent away and put in Internment camps.
