Creating a Positive Digital Footprint
I used the website Canva. I put images that were related to what each paragraph was talking about. I made it fun and bright so you want to look at it and read it. I chose green because that is the colour of mental health awareness and I think it’s really important.

Personal/SocialCompetency Reflection
I know that my digital footprint can have both positive and negative consequences on my life, including school and home. So I adjust my actions by making sure everything that I post, share or tweet is not false information that I’m spreading. I also check in with myself. Asking myself questions like, how would I feel if my parents/teachers saw this? Doing this also saves me from embarrassment in the future. For example, I see kids on the Internet posting videos that I know they will look back on and wish they never posted in the first place.
The online support network that I use is called discord. It is free and helpful to me because there are hundreds of people in each server willing to help you; with anything from challenging math homework to your mental health. What I like about it is that there is also an option for voice calls. So if taking to somebody is more helpful than just texting you have that option as well. You can have discord servers with anyone you want as long as they have the app. All you need is a simple code to join.
Some of my preferred strategies for maintaining a healthy, balanced online presence include. Making sure my screen time isn’t as high as time I’ve spent with my family/friends that day or been outside. Luckily, I prefer reading over electronics anyways but sometimes when I get really into a game it’s hard to stop. So setting a screen time limit works for me. If I don’t use a screen time limit, I like to use timers. For example, 40 minutes gaming, 40 minutes reading.
