Natural Numbers: Positive Whole Numbers (no decimals or fractions) NOT INCLUDING ‘0’

ex. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11………..

Whole Numbers: Positive Whole Numbers (no decimals or fractions) INCLUDING ‘0’

ex. 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11………..

Integers: All Whole Numbers (no decimals or fractions) that are positive or negative.

ex. -5,-4,-3,-2,-1,0,1,2,3,4,5

Rational Numbers: Any numbers that can be turned into a fractions.

ex. 2, 7, -2, -7, 9/8, -2.33333, perfect cubes, perfect squares

Irrational Numbers: Numbers that are NOT Rational. Any numbers that can’t be turned into a fraction

ex. pi, any non-perfect squares/cubes

Real Numbers: All rational and irrational numbers fall into the category ‘real numbers’

ex. pi, 0.34, 3.4
