Would I go to Chile?

I would gladly go to Chile for a vacation or travel because it’s climate Varys greatly on where you are in the country’ also because Chile has a lot of great food and many great landmarks.

REFLECTING ON MY FIRST YEAR

My Grade 9 Year

During this year I have learnt many new things and been exposed to many new academical experiences. To start I have been taking the first real language course in my life, I have been enjoying it and have learnt how to have a simple conversation with a peer in my language Clase. This year I have been able to experience shop classes such as metal and wood, both of which I have enjoyed and will Rember from my first year. I have been exposed to a higher level of math and have been taught algebra and Poly numerals. In my English class I have Experienced the workings of a trial through a mock trial in which I was a prosecution Lawer, and I won the case due to being able to find the needed evidence for the task at hand. During my first year at Centennial, I have been exposed to new experiences and learnt many things.

My favorite educational website is Edu blogs. I feel that Edu blogs supported my learning by giving me a way to reflect on my thinking and see all of my past work. In doing this it has made me a better student and has allowed me to improve my education through self-reflection. That is why Edu blogs is my favorite educational website.

I chose the parodic table song because I thought that it is a fun way to learn the periodic table. I used the song to make learning the periodic table fun because it is really boring sometimes.

I have chosen this image as my favorite academic photo because I used it for one of my favorite projects. In the project I needed an image of something to advertise and promote using the strategy’s I learnt in Clase. I was able to make this photo into an add that you would probably see and think “that’s a scam.” Eather way it showed the basic requirements for the project such as different ways to advertise as well as how to format a photo into an advertisement. I was proud of this project and chose this photo because of it. This is a photo of the completed project.

I have chosen this quote because I feel that it illustrates what many students face in school. They are scared of failure so the stop working hard, and they will end up being less successful, they chose fear. ethical Judgment

This semester, I completed an independent historical fiction novel study by reading blood red snow white which was about a man named Arthur and his Journy through the Russian revolution. In my book Aurthur teaches himself Russian by reading children books and soon the newspaper, I believe his decision should be emulated because it showed that he is devoted to his dream of living in Russia. I also practiced using concrete evidence from a text. One of the best pieces of evidence I used for this project was the way the narrator described, and worded the story because it told me exactly what I needed to know and an easy way to prove it. Deciding whether or not to emulate this person’s actions matters today because, it is a good way for me to practice setting and using a criteria to judge other people based on their situation.

core Competency Reflection

I use evidence to make judgements or decisions, as demonstrated in my novel study project when I had to judge a decision that a character made. I had to then find evidence in the text to prove my statement.

An example of where I built upon someone else’s ideas is when we were having group discussion, and I made a contribution to elaborate on my classmates’ statement.

I remain open minded as I explore viable options or alternative approaches, like when I was doing a research project on the American revolution, I made sure that my evidence was correct and unbiased.

I have valuable ideas to share about the topics we discuss during class and do so by listening to others then presenting my own ideas.

My strengths are That I can help people when they need it that I am athletic, and I am always willing to improve.

I have one main stretch and that is the fact that I am not good at meeting new people.

I can improve by meeting new people and talking to them.

I work with others to achieve a goal. I chose this because i the dance unit I had to work in a group to create a dance.

I reflect on my thinking. I chose this because in the 12-minuet run, I reflected on my performance to judge myself on how good I did.

I persevere with challenging tasks and take ownership of my goals, learning behavior. I showed this during the fitness unit when I pushed myself to reach my goals in fitness.

Is Violence justified in a Revolution?

A) How the use of AI assisted me in developing this project. In this project I used Ai to search google for me instead of looking for every tiny bit of information myself.

B) How I ensured that the work I created was still my own, rather than just a product of the AI. I made sure that I didn’t use Ai for everything only for searching google. I also looked at the site that the Ai gathered the information from to make sure I understood it and could put it into my own words.

C) I agreed with the position I had to argue. I agreed with the position that some violence in a revolution can be a good thing rather than a bad thing. I believe this because in the world we live in it is hard to make a huge change to the way we live without a little bit of violence. I also believe that as long as the violence is useful and comes in the necessary amount, accomplishes what it was used for, and makes the lives of people better after the revolution, the violence was a good thing.

My strategies for collecting relevant information for specific tasks include making sure I understand the information I am reading, check to see if the information makes sense and doesn’t undermine my other arguments or information, and if I don’t understand the information, I will ask somebody else for their opinion whether it is relevant or not.

When I need to work collaboratively with people I don’t know well, I usually get right to the point in a polite way to make sure we are getting off to the right start. I will check in with my group members to make sure they are doing their part well and will help them if they need it. In the end I make sure we have finished the project in a way that we are all happy with. basically, I make sure the work is done and move on.

My Project

Public speaking

I have learnt many things about public speaking this term. For example, when you are trying to get your audience’s attention you have to make what you are saying interesting or else, they will stop paying attention and stare off into space. When people are Presenting you have to be a good audience member by paying attention or at least looking like it, staying quite until the end of the presentation at which you should give some kind or supportive words. If you want to get people’s attention while you speak, I find it helps if you look confident and make sure your words are loud and clear. I have picked up a few things about public speaking over this term in English 9.

I show others that I truly value their contributions by listening to their ideas and using them in the project to improve it and make it better.

Some things I think about before dividing tasks among group members include, I think about how much work my teammates are capable of doing and, is the amount of work given fair.

I show that I value feedback from others in my group by listening to them and changing my ideas to suit their feedback.

I know the group is working well together when I see new ideas being created and active work being done. I also know when I hear people effectively communicating with each other.

My goal

I can feel comfortable when speaking in front of people I don’t know.

I want to be able to do this so that I can speak well in front of groups I need to talk to.

Creative thinking

one activity that stimulates my mind is planning ahead and thinking about what I want my project to be and look like.

I can deliberately learn about things that interest me for example I learnt a lot about silver on purpose and found it fairly interesting.

An example of something I have spent a lot of time learning about is the element silver and its properties.

Some skills I have developed to make my creative activities better are, problem solving, exercising my imagination by drawing and creating story’s\ characters in my mind.

When it seems, the good ideas just won’t come to me, I ask a trusted adult for help and take a brain break to help calm myself or, create space in my mind to see the big picture and see my way out of the problem.

When faced with ambiguity or setbacks, I take a break to feel happy again before going back to work to advance the development of my ideas.

An area of study in which I feel confident to regularly challenge assumptions and develop new ideas is in science, because it is an area of study where they tell you to challenge the rules and find new answers.

This project is innovative and useful to my community because it is teaching me how to reflect on myself and that will make me a better person in a community and good people in communities tend to make them better.

An example of an idea I developed that was new to my peers is when I said that I was going to try to get extending in my ADL. because they felt it was unnecessary.

I am so curious about mixing chemicals and studying chemical reactions that I am excited to learn more about how I could make the experience more fun and safer to make it even better.

I can persevere over time to develop my ideas; I also expect setbacks in my studies to occur so I always have help nearby in case I need it.

My sway project shows that I can think critically about problems, that I can form a body of research over time and that I expect setbacks. first off you can see I have a link above instead of my actual project because I tried every imaginable thing to get my project in, but this was the best I could do, this shows if I run into a problem, I can think critically about it to find a solution. In my project there are lots of information about a specific element, this show I can form a body of research over time and make sure that it has correct information. it is important to remember who benefits from the advertisement when you view an advertisement, because you have to know that you are making your own chose and not the company’s reasons you have to remember by buying their product, they are benefitting more then you..

one of the types of advertisement is logical reasoning. It includes proven facts charts and statistics. It is affective because people cannot deny cold hard facts and reasoning’s if you have a lot of research, you will have no problem convincing an audience.

Card staking is an effective strategy in advertising. It is effective because you hide all the bad facts behind the good ones, while it is not hard to see past it with a small amount of critical thinking people who glaze over add are sure to be persuaded.

I used to think that ads were created by mindless zombies and now I know they are really smart and cunning people because, there are many types of ways to advertise a product but only a few effective ways. If you’re too subtle they won’t notice if you’re too obvious they will know you tried to manipulate them.

One strategy or activity that stimulated my imagination on this project was really thinking about what the capitol citizens would buy and how to get them to buy it. I enjoyed the time I had created my product and then letting my thoughts spiral down the different possibility’s.

An example of where I built upon someone else’s ideas is when I was shown an example of how someone had marketed a product and I decided to do the same thing but a bit different. I feel that the strategi was effective and will work well.

Some of my preferred strategies for maintaining a healthy, balanced online presence include Balancing work and play. I always try to balance work and play so that I can work when I need to and play when I have free time. whenever I have work, I try to do it before so that I don’t forget about it and come to school the next Moring just to find out I didn’t do my homework.

I think my experiences as a digital citizen, such as using teams and Microsoft 365 influenced my choice of course/hobbies/ teams because I am not a very involved person on the internet, I don’t use social media or really play online games. Because of this I am really active offline I play sports and hang out with my family most of the time.

I know that my digital footprint can have both positive and negative consequences, including not getting hired, getting accepted into a university, or getting in trouble. But if you have a good foot print you may get a lot more jobs or get accepted into a university. so I adjust my actions to, working hard, thinking about what I do on my computer knowing it could affect my future greatly.
