CPR Reflection

What was something you learned that you didn’t know or considered before?

I learned the differences between heart attacks and strokes. I also know the signs when having a heart attack. It includes the 5 “P’s” (pain, pale, puffing, pooped, and puking)

What is the key take away from the theory or practical CPR unit?

They key take away from the practical CPR unit is that it is important to know basic CPR because there may be a time where you may need to perform CPR. It could also help save a person’s life.

How does this unit connect to the nutrition unit learned previously?

This unit connects to the nutrition unit learned previously because it is both in the health category. It also connects because eating unhealthy foods can cause high blood pressure, diabetes, and obesity. Which can lead to something more serious later on if you keep up an unhealthy diet.

Core Competency Reflection

When I need to boost my mood or re-focus, I listen to music or chat with my friends to boost my mood because they often cheer me up.

I can describe how learning about CPR relates to my life. Learning about CPR relates to my life because I think that it is important to learn about CPR because if there is a time in my life that I may need to use it, I am a bit more prepared and have some knowledge.

Examples of where I communicated clearly and purposefully can be seen in during class because I participate in class activities.
