Chemistry 12 – Core Comptency

This photo demonstrates the Thinking Core Competency. This is because my partner and I used our critical thinking skills, to determine if a precipitate had occurred before putting our test tubes in a hot bath. 

In addition we also used the Communication Core Competency ~ I can work with others to achieve a goal. We demonstrated this competency by updating each other every few seconds if our test tubes has changed while it was on the hot plate. During this experiment, we distributed our tasks. One person would clean the test that were not needed, while the other person would watch the test tubes on the hot plate – and we would alternate. By doing this back and forth for 10-15 minutes, we communicated in a way where we did everything evenly and in a safe manner.
