Communicating
Examples of where I can communicate clearly and purposefully can be seen in collaboration with my team members. When working on the group project, I can effectively communicate my ideas and actively listen to others’ suggestions, making sure that everyone is on the same page and that we work together to achieve our goals.
In discussions and conversations, I help to build and extend my understanding by actively listening and asking questions to clarify. I make an effort to fully listen and understand others’ perspectives and ideas without interrupting or imposing my own thoughts. I also ask questions to help not only myself but the other person as well to comprehend more fully.
Collaborating
If the group is not productive, we can find the cause of the problem and take steps to get things moving in the right direction. Once the cause has been identified, we can collectively create achievable goals so that we can become productive again as we once were. Steps we can take to achieve our goals include, ensuring everyone knows their roles and responsibilities, celebrating any progress made to keep a positive environment, and checking in with your peers every so often to improve communication within the team.
Creative Thinking
When faced with ambiguity or setbacks, I embrace them as opportunities for growth and use them to advance the development of my ideas. I assess the situation and begin brainstorming alternative strategies to finalize a solution to then help me achieve greater success.
