Speech Unit Reflection

One thing that I learned in this public speaking unit that I would use in the future is to feel confident, no matter what. I felt extreme nervousness the day of my speech presentation, and I turned it into something positive like excitement. To cite my work, I used “citationmachine.net”, and it worked well for me. I found a lot of articles regarding the sex offender registry topic, and they were all really helpful. To improve my skills in researching, I’d ask a lot more people for input, as I only used the internet.

Reflection

A. I was able to identify an environmental issue in Quebec, but it wasn’t easy. Most of the problems I found were outdated and there were already solutions fixing them, so I kept digging and researching and using a lot of websites in order to find one.

B. I started researching about the problem and understanding it before finding a solution because it was easier for me, and more logical.

C. I was happy with how my project turned out but it wasn’t what I was thinking of how it would be.

D. I would make my future projects better by adding a lot more detail to my work, so it’s more understandable.

The History of My Birthday

In 1776, George Washington leads an attack on Hessian mercenaries at Trenton, and takes 900 men prisoner.

In 1917, President Woodrow Wilson places railroads under government control, with Secretary of War William McAdoo as director general.

In 1932, Over 70,000 people are killed in a massive earthquake in China.

In 1941, General Douglas MacArthur declares Manila an open city in the face of the onrushing Japanese Army.

My Favourite YouTube Clip

I chose this video for this question because I have a dog named Bella, and it’s fun to prank
her by just playing this randomly.

A Picture That Has Impacted Me

This picture has a significant impact on me personally. I’m not talking about the visuals, the greens, no. I’m referring to what they were saying in this captured moment. The film says “Hakuna Matata” meant no worries, and it has helped me a lot in many different ways. When I feel stressed, scared, or nervous, I try my best to think about this picture.

My Favourite Website

YouTube is my favourite website because this is how I cope with boredom. There are a lot of videos in different categories for my entertainment, and that’s why I like it so much.
