The Problem:
The Hudson Family is in need of a consistent and accurate schedule that fits for them
The Solution:
Day: | Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday | Friday
Person: | Parent A | Parent B | Parent B & Teen 2 | Teen 1 | Parent A & Teen 2
Food: | Beef and Spinach Lasagna | White Rice | Hot Dogs | B. Bean | Leftover Tacos, Rice, Salmon
Cooking Time: | 5:10pm (80 minutes) | 5:30pm (30 Minutes) | 5:45pm (20 Minutes) | 5:30pm (20 minutes) | Teen 2: Rice 5:10pm (30 minutes) Parent A: Salmon 5:40pm (20 minutes)
Amount: | 12 Servings | 4 Servings lasagna, 3 cups rice | 8 Serving / 8 hotdogs and buns | 12 Servings | 4 Salmon, 3 Cups Rice, 2 Tacos
Leftovers: | 4 Servings Lasagna | 0 Leftovers | 0 Leftovers | 2 Tacos | 0 Leftovers
Dinner Time: | 6:30 PM | 6:00 PM | 6:05 PM | 5:50 PM | 6:00 PM (Family) 6:30 PM (Teen 1) |
Justification:
Monday
Parent A should cook on Monday because they are the first parent home with no plans for the rest of the day. Making the lasagna gives them food for the current day and food for the next day.
Tuesday
Parent B should cook on Tuesday because they are the first parent home with the rest of the day off. Less time is needed to cook food because they have leftovers, it also evens each family member’s cooking days.
Wednesday
Parent B and Teen 2 should cook on Wednesday because they are making a very easy food item (hot dogs). Teen 2 can get some practice boiling or grilling hot dogs for the future as well as the fact that they are both home early enough.
Thursday
Teen 1 should be the cook on Thursday as he is comfortable with cooking anything as well as it fits in his schedule.
Friday
Parent A and Teen 2 Should be cooking on Friday because it fits in their schedule and he needs practice to get more comfortable with cooking

Collaboration Reflection:
Our group communicated positively for the entire learning and communicating session. We had trouble communicating with each other at some points due to the language barrier between us. We shared and expressed information through talking, translating, and showing our ideas on our Word document.
I am familiar with technology and so is my group. We used our technology to write out our answers on the document we were sharing. We used technology to search and find the recipes that suit us and the calendar best as well as sharing our thoughts and ideas.
Tasks were distributed by having 2 people write out the answers, 2 people giving suggestions and giving their opinion on our questions and actions. We made sure everyone was doing a decent amount of work.
I took part in finding the solution as a writer and researcher. I did a decent amount of researching the foods and finding foods that would fit their schedule. I also contributed to confusion and solution-finding as in if we couldn’t figure out if we should have Parent A or Parent B cooking I contributed to that conflict.
