Curricular Competency Explanation
The point of this lab was to try and neutralize a hydrochloric acid solution with an unknown amount of sodium hydroxide. This lab was a titration lab, a titration is when you bring an acid and a base together to create a reaction which causes the solution to become neutralized. In this lab the titration was used to try and neutralize the hydrochloric acid. The endpoint to this lab will be when you add enough of the sodium hydroxide to be able to turn the hydrochloric acid a very light pink colour. You know that you have fully neutralized the solution when the light pink colour stays for around 30 seconds.

Core Competency Reflection
Critical Thinking: How could this be improved?
This was my first time doing a titrations lab. When doing the first trial, like everyone I was figuring out what I had to do and how to do it. The first trial came out rough, but by then I knew overall what I had to for the next trials. Thinking back on it know I think if I had to do this lab again, what I would improve on would be technique. While doing this lab I realized that there are some things that need to be practiced to be able to become easier to do.
