IDS Inquiry Reflection

  1. What is your Inquiry Question? Has the focus of your inquiry shifted or changed since you wrote your Personal Learning Plan? Explain.

What makes a good (graphic) design?

I recently changed the idea for my project for this month.

  1. How is your time management? Are you using CENT time weekly to work on your Inquiry, or are you finding other time during the week?

I try to get as much work done during the CENT time, but there are times when I need to study or do work for other courses, so I need to work on IDS during other flex times or other times.

  1. What resources (people, websites, apps, videos, etc.) have been most helpful?

I mostly found online resources to be most useful, because there are lots of new information and experts that share information, tutorials and explanations. videos are useful as well because they include visual components along with information.

  1. What challenges are you currently facing with your Inquiry? What challenges have you overcome?

A challenge is that I have to do more work because I changed my plan and question, so I have to do more time managements and adjustments. The main challenge is to plan and make time for IDS while balancing other school work.

  1. Describe your growth of a Core Competency through this inquiry process.

I can develop a body of creative work over time in an area of interest or passion.

Doing creative work takes time and effort, as it takes ideas and brainstorming, planning and researching. I managed to create a small project for the month to show my work and effort.

  1. How will you share what you have been learning, creating or planning in this Inquiry? Are you on track to share your learning by the end of May or early June?

I will share by compiling all the work, research and projects I created into “portfolio”. I have a basic plan/routine to follow each month to be on track and have a few results/work to show.

  1. Will you continue working on this Inquiry, or parts of it, for your Capstone next year?

I haven’t full thought of it yet, but I would consider referring back to this project, especially anything that was successful.
