When I google searched my name up, nothing of mine came up except for my Instagram account. I’m not surprised that I found my Instagram, since my full name is in my username, but its on private, so no one can see my posts. I’m also not surprised that i didn’t find anything else of mine, since I don’t have my other social media accounts on public, or use my name for them.

My Instagram account is an example of Cautious sharing of information and Control of Identity. I am aware of the information I share and put out online and how other people can view it. I know what information i can and cannot share online and how it may effect me in the future. I control who can see my profile and posts by keeping my account on private, and accepting only those that I know.

I don’t think my existing digital footprint will effect my future, because when you search my name up, nothing comes up except for my personal Instagram, which doesn’t have anything bad on it. I don’t see how it could effect my family or friends since i don’t post or share anything negative that could effect them. Additionally, my Instagram account would not effect my future job either, since I do not have anything negative attached to my account or name.
