Like a face tattoo, the things you post on the internet could be discovered by college recruiters, employers, or those out to paint your face in a negative way”

Personal/Social Competency Reflection
Some of my preferred strategies for maintaining a healthy, balanced online presence include using a VPN. A VPN can hide your locations away from malicious hackers. Another way I keep a healthy and balanced online presence is not posting too much, think about what I am posting and why, and if I want to post it, I shouldn’t reveal too much information like my location.
I know that mydigital footprint can have both positive and negative consequences, including ruined relationships, missed job opportunities, public sharing of personal information, and can potentially lead to identity or data thefts. So I adjust my actions to create a safer and more secure digital persona. On the bright side, recruiters can find the right candidates for job positions using digital footprints, personalization, and companies can recommend items to users based on the customers’ preferences.
Some of the ways I work to build and maintain online relationships are by gaming and talking digitally. By gaming online, I can have a fun relationship with my peers without being in close contact (COVID). By calling my peers online I can create another connection contactless and safer. Obviously, physical relationships are better but in a time like this, technology helps a whole lot.
