Core Competency Self Reflection- Physics 12

Do you tend to be interoceptive or exteroceptive?  Why do you think that? – Through the video I learned the difference between interoceptive and exteroceptive. After reflecting on some occasions, I noticed that I tend to be more exteroceptive. I am usually aware of my surroundings and focus on the sounds that are around me. Even when the room is quiet, I tend to listen to little sounds or look around for something to read. It’s uncommon that I become interoceptive. What type of meditation would be best for your personal growth? The best type of meditation that would work for me Interoceptive focused meditation. Because I tend to be exteroceptive, I am very distracted even in situations that require strong attention and motivation. This would help me when I have to focus and get my work done. What type of breathing would be best for you to do during your meditation? I think box breathing and deliberately slow breathing would be best for me because I need to be more interoceptive on occasions when I am nervous and tense. And because I tend to shift on to exteroceptive, this breathing method will help me. This is a tough one – what type of breathing would be best for calming you down (when, for example, you were nervous about a test)? As mentioned on the question above, I think interoceptive breathing will help me when focusing on my self. Long exhale breathings focus on the inner muscles which allows you to shift to interception. You don’t shift all your perceptions to interception, but some of your perceptions will be shifted when you breath with linger exhales.
