For this lab assignment, students played the role of predator and had to “hunt” little licorice pieces that acted as the prey. After analyzing the results from the lab, I was able to connect my prediction that when a prey is the same colour as their environment, the chances for it to be eaten will decrease. Through this, I was able to demonstrate that I can connect evidence I collected to big ideas. Furthermore, I was also able to demonstrate that I can collect and analyze evidence by writing down the data collected from the lab experiment and reflecting on that data with my own ideas and predictions.
