Throughout this project, I learned how to properly create citations. I use citations in all of my classes and I will be using them for future assignments. Citations are necessary to know how to create, as they prevent plagiarism or copyright. Citations are very important to have in a digital age where most of our learning sources are online. The citation machine was extremely effective when it came to making my citations. I used the citation machine for 3/4 of my citations (the other one was already created for me). I found that the online articles helped me the most, they were more simple and they only focused on one topic each. Next time, I could create my citations right as I open the source so I don’t have to go back and find all of the sources I used in my speech vs the ones I didn’t use at all. For my generation and future generations, online sources are just going to expand and become more popular. This can cause many problems (including plagiarism and copyright), but it also expands our learning capabilities. For example, if I wanted to read an article about Venice, I would want to read something straight out of Italy so I would know that it is 100% factual information. Reading an article about Venice, written in Canada may not be 100% factual.
