Reflection

Our interactions with trench warfare really got me thinking about what it would really be like as a soldier going to war. I knew there were bad conditions for soldiers in the war but what they actually went through was much worse then I could have ever imagined. I feel like when I think of war, I immediately think of a modern day war with modern day technologies to help better the lives of soldiers. This is why remembrance day is so important, as it is a day for us to remember all the brave soldiers who went through hell, just so we could better lives. These activities really showed me how Canada emerged out of its shell and became a force to be reckoned with in WWI. These activities really opened my eyes on all the horrible things these soldiers had to withstand.
