Critical and Reflective Thinking

I believe that our criminal justice system should be more rehabilitative. Instead of just punishing those that have committed a crime, we should prioritize correcting the behaviour associated with the crime.Although some people may be a risk to public safety, there are lots of people that commit non-violent crimes, and should be given the chance for rehabilitation, instead of just being given a harsh prison sentence.
