I believe I manage my stress well, and I’m also able take pretty good care of myself. My independence is something I’m proud of, and I can take care of myself, by myself now. Or at least I would like to think so, as nobody’s perfect. Stress is something we all deal with, and its generally a good thing, but sometimes we go through extended periods of stress. Part of taking care of yourself is being able to manage stress. I find basic strategies kind of stupid as they work for some people but not for me. I tend to just play music really loud when I’m anxious, because I don’t like people or crowded spaces, so this helps me ignore people. Although my favorite way is to just look at my Pinterest, it almost completely distracts me, which is the goal. This is my go-to strategy when dealing with stress, so I’ve edited my social media and other things on my phone so the things that I look at throughout the day don’t make me anxious, insecure, or unhappy. (I don’t look at news and stuff) this prevents me from being stressed from my most used apps and is something I do actively to reduce stress. I think that technology is a good stress reducer if you use it right, its not for everyone, and I think it’s very important to find what works for you.
