Lab 19C: Determination of a Solubility Product Constant

#CommunicationCC

During this lab we mixed different volumes of 0.010M Pb(NO3)2 with different volumes of 0.020M KI to determine if a precipitate would form. After, we would heat up the test tubes that formed a precipitate to see at what temperature it would dissolve at. My partner and I collaborated by first, creating roles. Ex, who would mix the substances, who would write down the observations, who would get the supplies and who would take pictures. We concluded that I would get the supplies and observe the reactions, while he would mix/pour and take pictures of the results. We eventually ran into a point where I misunderstood one of the lab procedures but after Aidan explained it, I understood it and we moved on. When one of us was confused it was important to our partnership that we would be concrete about it and ask each other for help, or even a teacher when we were both stuck. We want to improve our efficiency with better communication. We went through this lab following the procedure without looking ahead, if we read through the lab before we do it, we can create a plan and decide on a more even split on every task. Instead of dividing the tasks equally and occasionally having an uneven workload.
