I demonstrated my critical and reflective thinking skills during this project by reflecting on my thought processes when producing ideas and figuring out what ideas would be the best choice for my anticipated end goal. When the project began, I thought about what would look good on the sketch book rather than a design that would be attainable in the time we had before the deadline. The ideas I started with are completely different and are far more difficult to do than the ones I ended up with. I was able to listen to my peers and teachers’ advice about the fact it would be difficult for me to stamp paint on such small designs. Their feedback improved the quality of my project in the end but if I were to do this again, I would be patient with my ideas and painting so I could accomplish a more intricate design. 

Cooking At Home

For this first cooking from home assignment i chose option #1 which was “Use what you have”, so i decided to make penne with homemade tomato sauce. I didn’t use a specific recipe i just asked my mom for guidance and added things as i went along. I would definitely make this dish again because when dinner was over there were no leftovers and my family seemed to like it a lot. Although if i did make this again i might want to add ground beef into the recipe. There weren’t any big challenges with making the recipe itself it was pretty simple and quick. A success i had would probably be the flavor, it was very rich and tasty. I am most proud that everyone who ate it liked it.

Kitchen Tools/Appliances

I think that the most useful kitchen tool is the spatula, its used for flipping, lifting or spreading many things in the foods room. I picked it because i use it all the time, not just at school, but at home when i make meals for myself or my family. The use of a spatula is very straight forward and easy to use. The spatula was invented by Horace as a use for killing house flies. Another fun fact is that spatulas get their name from the act of turning which is like when you flip your food to cook the other side. The reason why spatulas have holes on the flipper part is so that when you scoop up food off of the pan the extra grease or liquid can drip through the pan

Crystal, Ashley and I value family and unity and that is why we created a space in our city where people can come together and have a good time, and connect with one another to create a close neighborhood of people.

We also value safety and peace, this is represented by the snowplow pushing snow off the road so that the people of the town can get around safely. Peace is shown by the few amount of houses that are all very close together, the people of our town are all very close with one another which is peaceful because there is hardly any disagreements.

Our last values are happiness and holiday, happiness is shown by the people of the town coming together at the ski areas, and kids playing in the snow. Holiday is shown by the amount of winter activities and Santa flying above the town with his reindeer, along with the decorated tree in our ice rink!

My Tribute Costume

Tribute Costume Paragraph

We were asked to identify some of our skills that would help us during the game, nothing really came to mind right away, but as i started making my costume i started to think a lot harder on how i would answer that question. Here are some of my thoughts: I think that one of my skills would be tricking the other players into thinking Im not a threat, I dont know if that makes any sense but for example i would keep quiet for a couple of days, not let any other tributes see me and when it comes down to the last couple of people i will be able to use any strength that i have to win the games. going off of that strength is another skill that could help me a lot during the games. My strength will help me defend myself against other tributes and even keep myself from breaking down and crashing throughout the games.

Reflection

This is my tribute costume, it is a representation of me for a few reasons. One being that it is mostly black and or dark colors perfect for camouflage during the games. It is also very comfy and easy to be active in, comfort is one of the main things i look for when i buy new clothes.
