My partner and I collaborated to create a dialogue. The dialogue is made up of trtansitional phrases and verbs. We had to read and understand the given sentences to be able to come up with the perfect response. One of the challanges was trying to figure out how to incorporate the verbs and transitional phrases.We also had to remember to add the accents and spell the words correctly. I did feel more relaxed and ready compared to the first time I worked with my peers to complete a dialogue. We showed collaboration skills by sharing ideas and using them in the dialogue. Through this activity i learned that collaboration is a group effort and it works best when the people involved are working together to achieve a goal.
In this activity we created a skit based on the elements given to us by our teacher. Core competency is demonstrated here by communication. I discussed with the people in my group possible ways we could introduce ourselves in Spanish. In addition we also talked about the plot and where the skit is going. I was able to share my ideas as well as take consideration of other peoples ideas and got to collaborate and socialize with new people. This was my first long script in Spanish and I felt that I was not able to perform as best as I could. A struggle I encountered was not being able to share my ideas properly because the work had to be done in Spanish. In the end I managed to contribute and express my ideas and presented with confidence in front of unfamiliar faces.
