Personal Awareness and Responsibility: How I manage school-related stress

Artifact: 😱
This emoji shows how I feel stressed, like everything is too much and I’m worried. When I want to feel better, I go for a quick walk outside or listen to music. That helps me relax and think better.

Self-Assessment

  1. When I can’t solve a problem, I have ways to help me. First, I take a break because staying stuck only makes me more upset. I might stretch, drink water, or just walk away for a few minutes. Then I try again by reading the question slowly or breaking it into smaller parts. If it’s still confusing, I ask a friend or message my teacher for help.
  2. When I feel sad, mad, or frustrated about school, doing things like drawing, listening to calm music, or writing in a journal helps me let out those feelings. It clears my mind so I can focus better on my work afterward.
  3. I can reduce school stress by planning ahead. I write down what I need to do and break it into smaller steps so it doesn’t feel so overwhelming. I also try to start assignments early so I’m not rushing at the last minute.
  4. When I’m worried about a test, I calm down by taking deep breaths and telling myself I’ve done my best to prepare. I say things like ā€œYou’ve got thisā€ or ā€œJust try your best.ā€ Studying a little each day helps me feel more ready than cramming the night before.
