Persuasion Project Advertisement Techniques

Persuasion Project Unit Reflection

Why is it important to remember who benefits from the advertisement when you view an advertisement?

You’ll be able to get a better understanding of the advertisement itself, as well as how it works and all the different aspects. You can see currency distribution from the advertisement, who gets most, who gets least, etc.

· Choose one form of persuasion and explain why it is effective in persuading you/an audience: logical, ethical, emotional

Emotional persuasion could be really appealing if done well. Emotions is really popular and has a wide range of people that could be affected by it. It drags people in a lot depending on the word and image used, maybe even the implicit meaning. A good emotional advertisement will hit directly in the spot.

· Choose an advertising technique and explain why it is effective in selling a product.

Testimonial I’d say would be one of the most effective ways. Using Famous person, makes your product known from all around the world, increasing sales. For example, if Michael Jordan sponsored a product, people that like him would almost instantly place offers, as well as spread around the news, making more people buy it.

Core Competency Reflection

One of the ways I ensured my group was clear on what we were doing was to…

I’d always give everyone ideas on what they should do. Me and my partner both work on different slides, different designs, etc. Making the process significantly faster and nicer. After working on everything, we look back and double check grammar, punctuation, etc.

Some things I thought about when dividing tasks among my group members was…

I thought about if they’d actually spend time doing it and putting it effort. I’ve had group members that don’t do anything or don’t put effort at all during projects. Although things in this project turned out really well. All the slides were done right with effort, also phrased properly.

This is how I selected images and words to create impact for my planned audience:

I shared with my group my thoughts and asked for theirs, then gathered the best ideas and put them into the advertisement. We tried using interesting and eye appealing words. For the image, we all took photos and used the best, we tried matching the words with the image to make it more appealing.
