Our Movie
Character, Setting and Mood
I learned how to use creative thinking to figure out my characters appearance. I used the details in the book to help me design my avatar. Determining the setting of the story wasn’t to hard. First I found out the area where this scenes took place. For an example if a scene was in the forest, a magical forest with fairies I would chose a mystical looking background for my movie. If the book mentioned the time of day or the weather, I would look for an image that has those properties. To me mood is like the emotion that’s going around the room, the feeling in the atmosphere. the song we picked sounded like romantic yet sad. This story was heartbreaking yet heartwarming at the same time. Each character had their own story, all intricate and unique. I would recommend this book to teens.
Core Competency Reflection
An example for when I built on someones idea is when we designed the avatars. If i didn’t really know what how or what to make my character look like I would ask my group members what they thought and build off of that. When I need to boost my mood or re-focus, I would put on my headphones blast one of my favourite up-beat songs and that usually boosts my mood. If I need to re-focus id give my brain a short break or I would put my self in an quiet workspace so I can focus.
