When I need to work collaborativly with people I don’t know well…

It always feels very awkward working in groups with different and new people. I always find myself not speaking as much or too quietly. To improve on this I will spend more time with new people and do as much group work as possible until I’m used to it. It really seems for a problem such as this one the only way I can solve it is by being uncomfortable until I’m completely comfortable with meeting and talking to new people. From what I’ve observed from others that have the ability to speak so freely with new people, is that they either learn from experience or they grew up this outgoing.

One strategy or activity that stimulates my imagination is…

I like when teachers gives us a project that seems interesting to me and gives me some wiggle room to add my own twist to the project. I also like when the teacher gives a challenging question or a riddle. This helps me get my brain ready for the upcoming challenges. Or when the teacher gives us the base of something and we build off of that topic.

I make ethical choices such as writing a calender or a to-do-list in order to achieve my goals and help organize my time. Since I never had a good time management. Writing down the things I need to do can show me what I need to do. This can help remind me to do it.
