Why do you think Japan is so creative with its sandwiches? How do these compare to the sandwiches available in Canada?
I believe the reasoning for Japan’s creative sandwiches is because attraction and style. These neat designs and vibrant colors attract people to recognize them and slowly the sandwiches become more well known. I also notice most of the bread used in Japan for sandwiches are crust less, I believe this adds on to the looks of the food and shows off the delicious food put inside. I think when we compare the sandwiches in Canada and the sandwiches in Japan, Japan puts more thought into the aesthetics of the sandwich. While Canada’s sandwiches are good, they have a more messy appearance. The Sandwiches in Canada seem to have more diversity in the bread that is used, whether it is full grain, white, or bagels. As for Japan, they seem to only use one type of bread that is soft, white, and crust less. Despite the differences in the ingredients and the style that is used, both countries have phenomenal, delicious sandwiches.
What is the most creative meal you have made or had? Would it taste good in sandwich form??
I am not too sure about creative meals because I cannot think of one off the top of my head; however, I do know that in Taiwan, people will put pork floss with almost everything. A dish I think is unique is pork floss with jelly. So instead of peanut butter, Taiwanese people put pork floss with it. This usually already comes in a sandwich form. I personally am not crazy over this flavor because I am more of a fish floss person myself. This dish really depends on the person though, because Taiwanese people love pork floss so the flavor may taste better for some people.
What sandwich type are you most excited to try? (Upload a photo if you make one!)
A Japanese sandwich I would really like to try is the Kastu Sando. I am already a big fan of Kastu don and other types of fried pork, so I think I would like this sandwich very much. I have tried similar sandwiches to the Kastu Sando in Taiwan, but it was one from the convenient stores late at night. The sandwich was very moist and I did not feel the satisfying crunch as I bit into the sandwich. I hope I get to try one of these sandwiches one day.

If offered by him, would you eat a part of Anpanman’s head? Why??
I would not take up the offer of eating Anpanman’s head unless I am in urgent need and care. I just feel like Anpanman’s head is very dry and lacks flavor. His head looks to be made out of red bean, and I am not a huge fan of red bean sandwiches. Unless it is like Dorayaki, because like Doraemon, I think Dorayaki is amazing and would eat it without a second thought.
