Justification:

On Monday parent B will cook the full 12 servings of lasagna. The family will eat the 4 servings day of, 4 servings for lunch the next day, and the remaining portions for dinner on Wednesday.

On Tuesday teen 2 will be cooking 4 servings of grilled cheese. We chose for teen 2 to cook because they get home early, and it is a very simple recipe.

On Wednesday they will be eating the lasagna left overs from Monday. Parent B will heat it up for the family.

On Thursday teen 1 will be cooking 4 servings of chicken pad thai. We gave teen 1 a more advanced recipe so they can get better at cooking. They have lots of time to make it from when they got home to dinner.

On Friday parent A will be cooking salmon and veggie rice bowls. It takes a hour to make so parent A has lots of time to prepare it.

Collaboration Reflection:

My group talked in our shared word document. We asked each other questions throughout making our table to make sure everyone was happy with our decisions. It made it a little harder talking in the word document rather then in person because if someone was working hard on something they didn’t read the conversation for a bit. But, It was an easy way to do it because, we always helped each other out and worked together. Not one person was acting like the leader, we all had a say in everything we were doing. For distributing tasks, we talked about how we wanted to do it and decided that it would be easiest to split it by days of the week. I took on the task of doing two days, Monday and Tuesday. I choose for Parent B to do the lasagna due to them being home for a while and having lots of time to prepare. Teen 2 made a simple recipe (grilled cheese) so that they wouldn’t have to stress about making a difficult dinner.

Self Assessment: Collaboration & Critical Thinking

Some things my group thought about before dividing up the tasks were, who wanted to do more then one, if everyone was planning on being here everyday, and how we could all work together to get it finished on time. My group was working very well together because we could always answer each others questions, we got our table done on the first day of working on it, and we were all happy with each others work, and how it turned out. The way I contributed was doing the work that we decided I would do, I kept checking the criteria to make sure everything I did and my group did was right. I had to work around choosing who did what days of the week to make sure everyone cooked at least once. I had to change up my work a bit to make everything work out and fit the criteria.
