Making and Sharing Reflection
The best recipe I have made in foods this year has been the frittata. When making this recipe I really took my time with analyzing the recipe before starting. When making it I took my time with each step to make sure the eggs got fully cooked and the vegetables were evenly distributed. I also continuously tasted it throughout the cooking process to insure the seasoning was right. The reason that I loved this dish was because I got to edit the recipe to my preference with different vegetables and spices. If I were to make this recipe again I would add more cheese on top and melt it. I could also add some garnish on top to add some extra colour.
Core Competency Reflection
One of the ways I ensure my group is clear on the common purpose is to talk through the steps together. Each step I am doing I will communicate to with my group. If someone is not doing anything we will work together on the steps to insure the recipe is completed.
If there is a disagreement in the group, I find it helpful to talk about the concerns and take a breather. If there is ever a disagreement I will make sure we communicate what the problem is and then try to find a variation to solve it.
I show others that I truly value their contributions by being supportive and keeping a positive attitude. When cooking in the kitchen it can get very stressful very fast. I find it helps us stay calm when having someone recognize their accomplishments by simple supportive actions, such as a “good job” or “good work”.
I show that I value feedback from my group by taking their suggestions and trying them out. Even if it does not work out for me, I will always be open to new approaches on how to do something.
My goal for myself is to write more in my food blogs. I am going to take more time with each writing and try to make it extending with my personal connections. I want to show my learning more and use more descriptive words with discribing the food.
