Why was Canada’s war declaration on Nazi Germany (on September 10th 1939) important?

Canada’s war declaration on Nazi Germany was important because it showed Canada’s level of independence. Canada held off joining World war 2 for 7 days just to show that they could make their own decisions and do things on their own after being controlled by Britain for so long.

I can analyze evidence to make judgements when I am learning about new things. When I am being taught new information about any subject I can make my own judgements on the topic but can also hear out other peoples perpectives.
