Core Competency Reflection:

Roadmap Project

1.) When I need to boost my mood or re-focus, I play music and put both of my AirPods in to help block out any other background noise from the class. This helps me refocus and boost my mood because I cannot hear anyone else and am in my own little world.

2.) My strategies for collecting relevant information for specific tasks include looking back at my old photos and memories. This helped me quite a bit throughout this project, allowing me to remember certain life events more clearly and to describe things more in detail because I had an image in front of me.

3.) An example of where I built upon someone else’s ideas is for this project when models went around for brainstorming. I had seen someone’s project having a tree and each branch was a different event but I wanted to switch it up and included seasons for more detail and creativity.

Goal:

My goal is to build more friendships in my classes and expand instead of keeping to myself. The ways I communicate at school differ from how I communicate at sports practices in these ways: I’m more social with my teams because I have built strong friendships with them over the season and have been around the same people for long stents of time compared to the semester system at school when I am not with the same people for more than 6 months. I will achieve that goal by branching out more often and doing projects with new people to grow my social circle more.
