Digestion Unit(Piggy Dissection): This image is from when my lab partner and I first cut open our fetal pig. We had just cleaned it out so all of the organs could be visible.

Explanation: I had the opportunity to experience what dissecting a fetal pig is like in my Biology 12 Anatomy and Physiology class. It took great teamwork and communication due to the time crunch we were put on to complete a various amount of tasks and follow the very precise instructions given. It took a lot of personal awareness during this dissection by monitoring how each person in the partnership was feeling due to our very queasy stomachs. We took turns covering for each other and taking over the dissection while the other took breaks when needed. We also demonstrated responsibility by properly cleaning all of our used equipment to insure groups after us had clean, ready to use utensils and discarded our broken scalpel blades appropriately to diminish the chances of others being injured. We used our critical thinking skills to sort out problems that we had during the dissection such as removing the esophagus from the pig and created a schedule of when we were both free to come into flex for bonus marks and extra help.
