My Artifact

My Learning

This assignment helped me with organizing my work, which was something that I used to always struggle with. I am a very messy writer, and often have trouble with finding the pieces that I am looking for. However, with this assignment, I was able to organize my work by making a table and then inserting all the notes and information I have on there. This helped me with finding the pieces of information that I needed, without having to go and look for them.

An example of something I have spent a lot of time learning about is the play “Macbeth” by William Shakespeare. In our English class, we’ve explored this classic play. I’ve worked hard to understand the language, themes, and characters in “Macbeth.” It’s been a journey to figure out the old-style English, but as I’ve diddged my self deeper in the world of Shakespeare, I’ve gained a deeper appreciation for the his style storytelling and the deep messages within his plays.


When it seems the good ideas just won’t come to me, I take a break to help calm myself or create space in my mind to think. I might go for a walk, listen to my favorite music, or just sit quietly for a few minutes. Taking a break is like hitting a reset button for my brain. It helps me relax and clears away the mental clutter. Going outside and feeling the fresh air on my face, or finding a quiet spot to sit, gives my mind a chance to breathe.

My Learning of CPR

Something that I learned in which I hadn’t considered before would be the risks of CPR as you could break someone’s rib when performing it. One key takeaway from the practical CPR unit is to show us how to act properly when seeing a person with a stroke, heart attack, choking…etc. Finally, this unit also connects to the previous nutrition unit because in order for us to know to not have any of the risk factors, we would need to have a balanced diet.

Examples of where I communicated clearly and purposefully can be seen in… times when I was assessing responsiveness and making sure everyone was clear of the body during the AED.

One of the ways I can see using this learning to help others is… by educating and awaring the people from the dangers and the risk factors of strokes and heart attacks, in order for them to be careful and be wise of their diet.

When I need to work collaboratively with people I don’t know well, I… try/attempt introducing myself to the group and have them introduce themselves so that we could get along quicker.

I think this paraqraph does really well on covering why and how Timmy belogs to the society of youth. I say this because i have explained/argued alot about how Timmy treats/sees zombies based on how he treats fido and how the society of old treats Zombies. within the paragraph I talked about Timmys personality towards zombies, such as how inclusive, kind and loyal he is. in which helped show the differneces between the two societies.

What is one aspect of your writing that you still need to work on and how might you get help or improve in this particular area?

one aspect that i think i need to improve/work on is run on sentences, as this is a mistake i make on most of my writings. this is a problem that i have been struggling with ever since last year, and my teachers have been pointin it out to me alot. this has also caused my grades to go lower/down, as writin is a big deal in english, so if i dont resolve this problem anytime soon, my grades will probably go even lower. i could help myself to get rid of run on sentences by asking my teacher for ways/strateies to help prevent it.

This is mine and my partner’s biome project

Explanation

Collaboration

In the biome project we had to pick partners to help with finishing and presenting the project. During the project we had to assign different roles and responsibilities for each partner to do. we had to split the project into 2 parts, one part included the abiotic factors, the climate and the specific animal, while the other part included the map, the biotic factors and the food web. I chose to work on the first part while my partner chose to work on the other power point and did part. Me and my partner did both of our presentation and communication on PowerPoint because It was easier than having multiple platforms for several different things. If I were to do this project again I would have probably given more time to exercise on presenting, because me and my partner sort of struggled with communicating during the presentation.

Some skills I have developed to make my creative activities better are adding more descriptive pieces to my story, so that It could add more details to my writing in order for it to be longer, and also so that the reader can feel and fully experience what i am writing.

I am so curious about what I have in my head that I am excited to learn more about how I could try to add more pieces to my writing, so that the reader can go through the adventure of my story.

My Goal

My goal is to learn how to develop my poems in a more specific and descriptive way, usin only my thoughts, or my brainstorming ideas.

Critical Thinking

This artifact helped me with critical thinking because it required us to show our work and explanation for every answer and number we got when solving the equations. In which had later on helped me with the tests we had done, as tests require you to show your work.

Act III Dialogue Collaborative Project

Script

Following Script format

I followed the format and model of my script, by having all the margins lined up equally, using the ruler on the document to have them all lined up. I also followed the model of the script by having everything that shows the expressions in the story written in Italics, i also made sure that they were all lined up and more on the right side of the text, so that you could tell the difference between it and the actual text of the story. Another thing that i did to follow the model, was having all the people’s names’ who are talking, have all capital letters. Finally, one last thing that i did to follow the model was having my name and the date on the right side of the page, i did this by using the ruler and having the line start all the way on the right side.

I chose this one because i demonstarted this in my work, as i encouraged my partner to help me with what words we should use, and how the characters should speak, to make our script more modern.

I chose this one because i used this skill to finish the Script assignment, as i worked with a classmate member whom i worked really hard with, to change the story into a more modern one, by changing the way the character talk and also changing the words the characters used to speak.

I chose this one because i used it in my work, as me and my partner had split the work amongst ourselves and trusted eachother to do our own share on the assignment, and so i decided to be responsible and do my part of the story that I had to change into a modern one, so that we could be able to finish on time, and

Collaborating

I know the group is working well together when I hear/ see all of us discussing and evalutating on what the answer may be, this may look something like us being busy writing or talking a little loudly.

If I notice my group is struggling on trying to find the answer of an equation, then that’s a sign that my group needs help and we can get support by asking the teacher or maybe trying several deferent ways until we find out the answer.

I make an effort to include missing voices/ perspectives by always making sure that everyone has at least shared/wrote an answer for an equation or the way to solve an equation.

Explanation:

I chose this picture because it represents how I feel when we work on the whiteboards, as it it makes me feel like i am a part of someting, because every member of the group gets to share an opinion or an answer to the group so that we could help eachoter, meaning that everyone gets a role in the group. I also chose this picture because i feel really supportive when we work on the whiteboards, as we all get to help eachother with solving the equations.

Character, Setting and Mood

Creating this movie made me realize that to find a characters identity markers you will need to study about their history and the environment they lived in, i showed my learing by giving the characters a darker skin tone as i knew that it was hot in Greece which meant that they were probably tanned. Through creating the mvie i also learned that to find a setting you will need to know where the story is being told from, i showed this in my movie by making a dark forest the setting for Lysander and Hermias escape because in the story Hermia and Lysadner said that they had to go through the woods which was hard to see in because it was dark, which helped me imagine that they were probably in a dark forest filled with trees. In my movie i decided to put a dramatic and emotional song as my music choice because it fit the the story as there was alot of drama in the story and because the story had some emotional scenes.

“I can understand and share information about a topic of interest in a clear, organized way”, i know this because in the movie i showed my understanding of information in a clear and organized way, as i did everything according to the precdure.

“I work with others to achieve a goal”, i know this because through the creating the movie i worked with a partner in which he helped me accomplish finishing this movie.
