When I am faced with a problem or setback, I ask my surrounding for help usually. If that is not an option, I like to use my imagination and try different options to solve the problem until I find one that works. It is not the best strategy, but it helps me understand things better in my own way.

When I am distracted, trying to get straight back into work does not help me because usually I find my mind wandering off anyways. So, to get back on track I like to take a little mind break for a few minutes because it helps me reset my mind before getting back on track.
There are many ways that having a public digital footprint can benefit you. For example, you are able to promote yourself and potentially become well-known for a good cause. You can gain supporters and if you are successful enough, and people like you, you might be able to start a career with your social media account. Then if you become famous, you will receive brand deals and be asked to promote other peoples’ brands too. You may also get a chance to collaborate with someone else on that social media platform you are active on, and gain more and more supporters while you are building your account and career.
Those are some benefits, but there are also some risks to having a public social media account. An example would be if you were to accidentally post something, or post something and it was unintentionally offensive, there is nothing you can do from stopping people from hating on you. When you are on social media, you have to be extra careful what you post and do your research always. Because one little mistake can lead to the downfall of your career.
A benefit to a private social media account is that you don’t ever have to worry about accidentally posting something offensive and getting hate for it. Having a private social media is just to make you happy and it shouldn’t matter what you post because nobody that you don’t want seeing will see it. You don’t have to worry about losing your career because your co-workers and employers won’t be able to see what you post either. You wont have to worry about your reputation being stained.
Core Competency Reflection
I can ask and respond to questions to be an active, supportive listener. At first I had no idea what the “artefact” I was supposed to use was. I emailed my teacher and she gave me an in-class explanation which helped me a lot.
I can work to inform myself about issues surrounding me. Right now, this assignment is teaching me about the issues about having a public digital footprint. I am learning how to protect my online image and it has been very useful. I am using the knowledge about online safety I learned about in class and applying it into my everyday life.
I can be kind to others, and support others when they need it. While working on this in class, one of my classmates had asked me a question on how to do something on this assignment. I knew how to help so I answered that classmate’s question and she was able to get an answer and move on with her work.
I can reflect on my thinking. While doing my paragraph I did a lot of reflecting on my thinking. I was analyzing and reading over my paragraph and fixing it to make sure I was really writing what I thought. I was using my personal opinion to explain what I thought was risky and beneficial to having a public or personal digital footprint.
My Goal For The Future
“I can demonstrate respectful, inclusive behaviour.” Although this assignment was an individual kind of assignment, I know in the the future I may be part of a group assignment. Usually I struggle with including and talking to people I am unfamiliar with or just am not close to. I instead just sit and stay quiet. I do think it could be a bit rude to the other person, but really I don’t intend to make it seem that way. Next time, when I am part of a group assignment, I am going to take the initiative to talk to my partner(s) first. That is my goal. I’ll start with introducing myself if we don’t know each other’s name to make it a bit easier.
I can analyse evidence to make judgements. During this lab I made sure I analysed and looked over the results of my lab to make sure it seemed correct. When I was putting down the colours onto the lab sheet, I looked over onto the PH scale to make sure there weren’t any mistakes. I would know if there was a mistake by the colour of the product because I can only be one of the two that is in the PH indicator. I skill I learned from this lab was double-checking over my work, even though I had been told to do so before, I hadn’t. But I wanted to make sure I really was right. A skill I could use to grow in the future is organisation. During the lab our whole table was messy so I made a spill and got some chemicals on my hands. Also, it was hard to tell what was what mixture during the lab, because, as you can tell from the picture, we randomly added the chemicals randomly, we should have done it by trow instead, so that I would be able to later tell what colour the outcome was.

2. I demonstrate inclusive behaviour. I showed this when I constantly asked my partner her thoughts on what we could do to improve our project. I asked if she had any ideas or suggestions on what we could or add on ir change. (social awareness and responsibility)
3. I can reflect on my thinking. I ended up taking a lot of time on my share when we were putting the project together because I kept going back to rewrite things after re-reading multiple times and try to change the way I write or what I should or shouldn’t add. (critical and reflective thinking)
I can tell the difference between facts and opinions. When doing research I stumbled upon many different answers to some of the same questions. There are many sites that share multiples peoples’ opinions and answers to a specific question. I needed an answer but I couldn’t tell what the real one was becaude of people’s different opinions. That made me want to dig more and find out what the truth is.(Critical & Reflective thinking)
To Improve:
I find it easy to be part if a group (Social awareness and responsibility)
I actually find it difficult to be in a group because there are times when there are disagreements and bad teamwork between partners. I find it very hard when there is poor teamwork in a group because it can affect how long it will take to finish and affect everyone’s marks even if it’s just because one person has their own opinion an refuses to work together and disagrees with something, or only one person does work and the others are slacking off.
I don’t like when this happens but i am also bad at standing up and trying to fix it. I want to be able to demonstrate great teamwork when I am in a group. My goal is to hear everyones ideas and speak up when I have something to add on or suggest how someone else’s idea can be improved if I know that it can be. I want to talk freely and comfortably with the people in my group so that we can get work done on time and without any issues.
