Persuasion and Advertisement Techniques
The EXPANDA – CAP is a bottle cap that can fit over any bottle, no matter the shape or size.
Our product is intended for a younger audience; clumsy kids that constantly lose important things, such as bottle caps.
Our ad is persuading people that the EXPANDA – CAP is a must-have. We did this by using several persuasion strategies in our ads, such as an emotional beginning to reel the audience in, then a sudden twist in emotion to get to audience paying attention to the ad. We also had ethics, with a satisfied customer approving and recommending our product. We went with a more straight-forward approach with our ad, and ended with a quote; “Buy the Cap, EXPANDA – CAP!”.
Core Competency Reflection
I can show communication by being able to share information about a topic of interest in a organized way. I did this by creating our ad straight forward, so no irrelevant topics confuse the audience.
I can show collaboration by working with a partner and equally collaborating to complete the project.
I can show thinking by learning something I am inexperienced in, and demonstrating it in our project. I did this with the iMovie editing and green screen part, which I had to learn while working on it.
I can demonstrate respectful and inclusive behaviour by working with a partner and not rejecting any of his ideas just because I don’t like it.
