I personally don’t like the idea of a mascot for our city. It’s more of a Japanese tradition and wouldn’t be as popular in Coquitlam than in Japan. Mascots in Japan are mainly meant for marketing, so popularity and revenue would be the most important factor. My favourite mascot is that one apple that drums, since they actually have a talent and a backstory.
