Core Competency Reflection
Math vocabulary provides the necessary language to describe and define mathematical ideas and relationships. By learning key terms such as “sum,” “difference,” “product,” etc., I can grasp fundamental concepts with greater clarity.
Working collaboratively with others can significantly enhance learning and understanding of concepts. Collaboration makes use of active engagement, as students can share their perspectives, ideas, and approaches to how they may solve an equation, and so on. Through discussions and interactions, we can clarify misconceptions, gain new ideas, and deepen our understanding of more complex concepts.
Effective time management is essential for better understanding and learning. My strategy is to prioritize tasks by identifying the most important ones, then break down larger tasks into smaller, manageable chunks to avoid feeling overwhelmed.
Advice for Future Students
My advice would be to not get hung up on grades or marks. This often leads to us feeling bad about ourselves and creates unnecessary stress, which can get in the way of learning or studying.
