Part 1

I’ve always found grammar points to be the easiest part of a unit to understand. Whenever I learn new sentence structures, it provides clarity and allows me to express thoughts better in Japanese. Kanji has always been the most challenging to learn. Whether I spend a low or high amount of time memorizing it, I tend to forget everything as we move on from the unit. Grammar points usually stick with me, even after time passes. Throughout the year, Japanese has been pretty fun to learn. My expectations for this course was that it was going to be very hard to learn or understand anything. As the years went by, I’ve come to realize that it’s still very true; Japanese is hard to learn. My goal has always been to learn the language enough to be able to talk to a Japanese person. To attain this goal, I’ve been prioritizing grammar points, and learning the various conjugations of verbs and adjectives. Outside of the class, the only notable thing I’ve been doing relating to Japanese to watching anime and reading manga. If not class related, I rarely will do Japanese work during my free-time.

きゅじつはあたかいところにいきたいです。ぼくはハワイにいきたい。らいねんともだちといきます。わたしたちはビーチでやすんだりじもとのたべものをたべたりまいにちあそんだりします。3かかんで2500どるかかります。これにはこくけんでたべものでホテルがふくまれます。とてもたかいです。クリスがおかねをはらいます。クリスはしごとをしながらおかねをつくります。
