My 2022/2023 Year

  • One of report cards had all As: My classes in semester 1 were interesting so I participated and got all As in the first half.
  • I made new friends: During semester 1 I made friends through classes, which are most of my friends today, though I did not make friends in semester 2.

Sleep more.I will start my homework at an earlier time so I don’t need to stay up doing it.

Technology and Wellbeing Reflection

When I’m feeling stressed I like to lay down and stare at a wall, maybe listening to music. I also like to dye my hair when I feel stressed, even when I have better things to be doing. Personally I think technology is both a cause and a coping mechanism for my stress. I use it to avoid stress, but some things on the internet do cause stress for me. This year technology has not caused me so much stress, it’s been more helpful to me.

Core Competency Reflection

I am kind to others, and support others when they need it… I try my hardest to be kind to others around me, especially in serious situations. If I see others need it, I help when I can.

I demonstrate respectful, inclusive behavior… I am a respectful student in class, and I don’t cause any trouble. I make sure to include others and won’t turn them away.

I can explain when something is unfair and advocate for others… When someone is being unfair to another I make sure not to just standby and watch. I help in anyway I can.

Personal/Social Competency Reflection

Ways I work to build and maintain online relationships is by being consistent with my messages and not being dry. I make sure to let them know I’m enjoying our conversations and initiate conversations regularly. My teacher’s team pages are helpful to me because they make posts keeping me up to date on things like assignments or tests. I especially find it helpful when some of my teachers post the videos we watch in class so I can watch them at home. I know that my digital footprint can have positive and negative consequences, for example I could get groomed, hacked, and people can find negative things about me during things such as interviews. A way I have adjusted to avoid this is to remember not to talk to strangers because stranger danger, I have secure passwords, I don’t let out overly personal information online, and I don’t post anything bad.
