Curricular Competencies Reflection

The purpose of my poem was to show my love for mangos and why I admire them so much. my poem was intended for the audience to be my teacher Ms. Khokhar. The poem is mostly related to me. when the line says “mangos oh how you dance the tango to our hearts”, this line is personal to me because I have danced since I was 3 but not the tango. I planned this poem by putting lines together that I came up with and I tried to incorporate them all together. I used imagery by talking about the journey that a mango takes you through when eating a mango.

Creative Thinking Core Competency And Reflection

I chose mangos as my topic because mangos are one of my favourite fruits. When I was thinking about my topic and what I wanted to write about I turned to a friend for help with ideas. My friend and I thought about many different topics but mangos was the idea that stuck with me. A strategy that helped stimulate my imagination was by going on a walk to brain storm ideas by myself.
