DESMOS Self Portrait

This self portrait definitely tested my patience and my math skills. I have had trouble with domain and range for a while since I’ve learnt about it. There were a lot of restrictions involved in this which was the most challenging part for me. Restricting the lines and shading them in involved a lot of that. I was away for the conics lesson and had a bit of trouble starting my portrait. I looked up a youtube tutorial and realized it was easy to follow and instead of trying to trace my face I would do more of a “Mii” character look.

While studying for my re-write of transformations it helped me develop a stronger understanding of domain and range. It is such a big part of math and it comes up in almost every unit when graphing and using equations. If others struggled with this project i would recommend using other sources because it has been done before and there are video tutorials to help assist you in specific areas. Going back and reviewing domain and range as well as other graphing unit will definitely help with this project. This project was very tedious and had to be very specific points.

I had restarted the project at home because it was easier to use a computer rather than a laptop and i found that if i traced my face I would have been doing this project for a long time. I was using sliders and imputing the number from the variable once I got the numbers right. Once I got the hang of it was was fun to see what I could do with it.
