I used personal/social in creating the veggie stir fry recipe. This semester we had to have two different groups, in this specific group we worked really well. Learning how to use new forms of equipment such as the wok, and learning to mise en place, we really got the hang of it. I really liked working with my groups because even though we had lots of fun we all still stayed super focused and finished the dish within the hour mark. Our group was one of the only groups that had three people, so we had to try really hard to make sure our table is clean and prepared for block two. Even with one less person we still persevered through and completed all four jobs! With some of the questions on the recipe it could be a little hard. But I had no trouble asking anyone for help, with my group mates or with the teacher. When preparing the dish, two people have designated jobs such as chopping the veggies or preparing the wok, the extra person would always help out whenever needed! This helped us complete the dish enjoy it all together, and it was super delicious!
This year i joined the volleyball team. I was really paranoid that i wouldn’t make the team because i saw the other players. Thankfully i made it on because i made new friends and connected with old ones!
2. I made many new friends and found out who I wanted to spend my next high school years with. I was able to find who made me happy and many memories for just this grade 9 year!
3. I made it onto the badminton team. Badminton was a sport I wouldn’t consider myself good at so when the coach asked me to try out i was super nervous. I’ve learnt many new skills and i’m super exited for the next season!
Areas to Improve
Goals
Action plans
Improve my public speaking skills
I’ll learn how to go out of my way and make new friends. I’ll try my best in the next year to raise my hand more and express my thoughts.
Practice for sports
ill ask some of my friends to help me practice for sports such as volleyball, track, and badminton hoping ill make it in the team. I was going to join some clubs and go for drop-ins to practice with other people.
aim for higher grades
As the school year is about to end i was a little disappointed in my grades. I think i could to much better but Grade 9 was the year to ease into things so i hope in the next years I’ll be able to lift my studying skills higher.
I used personal/ social learning to create this dish. I was able to use collaboration because we got together very well during this lab asking questions along the way. This lab allowed us to choose our own egg, we figured if we were going to make scrambled egg it would be more flavourful and unique. All of us conjointly wanted to bring our personal ingredients from home to make it to our liking. We all had tons of fun and even with small mistakes we made the best of it and fixed it up right away. One thing id do differently next time is expand our cooking. I think we wanted to keep it safe and Do scrambled eggs. Next time we should try and expand our creative thinking and try new ways to cook eggs.
Since 1997 social media platforms have been ascending at extremely fast speeds. The more we are developing in technology, the more safely and health problems annunciate. One of the biggest ways of bullying is cyberbullying. Where you can hurt others while keeping a hidden persona. The reason these issues spread is due to posting and keeping up a social platform. Many citizens ranging from 13 to 30 have social media to post, talk, and much more. In which the term “digital footprint” comes into place a digital footprint is like memories, even if you try and try to delete it, it will never go away. That’s why whenever you’re posting or adding captions, always keep in mind the consequences of your actions.

Personal/Social Competency Reflection
Some of my preferred strategies for maintaining a healthy, balanced online presence include…
Keeping a hidden persona on social media. Meaning not posting much but still being able to interact with my peers. It’s good to have a little amount of followers. Sometimes keeping that account on private has its pros. If your account is put on private, that allows the person to befriend people who they know personally. Not everyone you meet online is willing to just be your friend, so if you keep a low profile, you’re still going to be able to achieve that amount of followers and keep a low digital footprint.
Some of the ways I work to build and maintain online relationships are…
Talking online, but still being cautious about what I send. The most common way I contact my friends is through social media. While having that conversation, I always pay close attention to words or pictures II send. To maintain a good relationship with my peers I make sure the things I say are nice, occasionally some words may come out, but to build a deeper bond I try my best to limit those possibilities.
My values around (ex. Achieving high grades in school)… inform my decisions about (ex. How much time I spend on my personal devise engaging in recreational activities)…
While being a high school student has its ups and downs, it’s better to always attempt in trying to maintain a good grade. One of the ways for students to turn in homework on time is to focus on the work. Not so much stuff going on in the social world. Personally speaking, as a student with social media, it’s easy to get distracted and forget about the homework due the next day. It’s great to take breaks once in a while to look at the messages, but to maintain that high GPA being able to focus and pay attention to the work is great support. It’s also healthy to go off a device for a few hours to reconnect.
