Core Competency 1: Communication (Self-Reflection)

Reflecting on my communication skills during the biofuels presentation, I recognize the importance of clarity and engagement. I aimed to convey complex scientific information in a way that everyone in the audience could understand. I used visual aids effectively, including diagrams and charts, to enhance the overall comprehension of biofuels and their significance. Encouraging questions and interactions helped create a more dynamic and inclusive presentation environment.

One aspect I believe I excelled in was adapting my language to the audience’s level of scientific understanding. I made an effort to strike a balance between technical terms and accessible explanations, ensuring that everyone could grasp the key concepts. However, upon reflection, I realize there might be areas where I could have further improved clarity or adjusted my communication style to better connect with certain audience members.

In future presentations, I aim to continue refining my communication skills, paying close attention to audience feedback and adjusting my approach accordingly.
