I used creative thinking to write a Spanish script about the best year of my life. I brainstormed key memories and translated them into Spanish, focusing on maintaining clarity and emotional depth. Class examples helped me develop my ideas, and I used strategies like drafting in English first to organize my thoughts. I also applied critical thinking by using teacher feedback to refine verb conjugations and sentence structures, particularly with the preterite and imperfect tenses. In the future, I plan to expand my vocabulary and include idiomatic expressions to make my writing more authentic and engaging.

Moreover, lacking knowledge and not getting informed about internet safety can lead to unwanted issues online. Having people access personal information or unknowingly downloading a virus can have big impacts on your safety and device. Also, your digital footprint can impact your chances of employment when applying for a job. During many interviews, before hiring they used a search engine to view their applicants and over 1/3 were turned down because of information found online. Because of how easy it is to find personal information you should always consider your footprint. Moreover, being proactive by taking steps to get informed can keep you and your information safe from others. In addition, unsafe activities consist of posting private information, posting images that you might regret, clicking on unknown links and apps, and sharing passwords. Personal/Social Competency Reflection
1) My online support network is helpful to me because Edublog and teams’ pages keep me informed of assignments, due dates, and provide me with some digital copies of textbooks. Always staying informed about what is assigned during class is important to me, so catching up on missed work and reviewing class material is always available. Moreover, having a copy of the Rubrik along with the due dates for assignments available on teams reminds me of expectations. Therefore, having the expectations in mind while completing work reminds me of what to include and holds me accountable for what isn’t met. In addition, being provided with a digital copy of textbooks helps keep me stay organized and is easier to access. Having access to all the class material on a device frees up more space and reduces unnecessary weight. Therefore, that’s why I found my online support network because they keep me informed of assignments, due dates, and provide digital copies of textbooks.
2) I know that my digital footprint can have both positive and negative consequences, including future job and education opportunities. So, I adjust my actions to reflect myself in a positive way online to open many more opportunities for myself. Moreover, being mindful that your digital footprint can determine how you’re viewed online and offline is important. During interviews, with a simple google search before hiring over 1/3 of applicants were rejected because of information found online. So, it’s important to always reflect yourself online in a positive way to be trusted offline. Moreover, acknowledging that my digital footprint can be led back to me ensures that I take precautions to keep myself and my information safe from others.
3) Some of my preferred strategies for maintaining a healthy, balanced online presence include setting up time limits on social media apps and keeping distractions like my phone hidden when doing work. Moreover, having time limits on apps such as social media helps to lower screen time and avoid procrastination. When seeing the time limit reached on a certain app it is a reminder of the time you’ve spent and encourages you to shift into something else. Being able to see the time you’ve spent on apps can help you be more productive throughout the day. When doing any work, it’s important to have any possible distractions like a device out of sight. When you focus on one task without getting distracted you can achieve better results because you give yourself time to develop your ideas and not get interrupted. By removing distractions, you can create and build onto your ideas and shorten the time required to complete work.
