My PowerPoint for the Mexico presentation took a great deal of time and work, and I’m extremely pleased with the result. I was able to successfully convey the beauty and culture of Mexico thanks to the accurate images and smooth transitions.

My communication skills could have used a little more practice as I stumbled on a few words. Furthermore, I believe I should have included additional information regarding the background of the Mexican holidays.

I gave my audience a lot of thought because I wanted them to be astounded by my presentation.”How can I make this information meaningful and relatable?” is one of the questions I addressed. such as “What key points should I highlight to make it memorable?” Addressing these factors enabled me to produce a PowerPoint presentation that did a good job of introducing Mexico.

I made sure that everyone could hear and comprehend what I was saying by speaking clearly and passionately. Throughout the presentation, I made an effort to maintain an enthusiastic tone of voice to keep the audience interested.

In Caraval, the plot follows Scarlett and Tella, two sisters who leave their violent father and join the magical game known as Caraval. Caraval is set on a mystical island that is full of enchanted performances and mysteries. As Scarlett navigates the game to find her lost sister while battling delusions and betrayals, the mood is tense and amusing.

In Caraval, the book's descriptions reveal the characters' physical appearances to the reader. Stephanie Garber, the author, does an amazing job. She will talk about their physical characteristics, including their eye and hair colours as well as their unique clothing and accessories.
How did you choose the plot points?
After reading and evaluating the book, I identified the plot points. I searched for the most fascinating and important scenes in the narrative, the ones that caught my attention. I also took the book's general themes, character development, and plot twists into account.
Explain how you figured out the setting in your story.
Stephanie Garber has an amazing talent of describing the atmosphere in Caraval that draws you in immediately. She creates the impression that you are standing in the middle of everything with her vivid and detailed descriptions. She truly has the ability to take you to these magical locations, whether it's the surreal and mysterious island known as Isla de los Sueños or the colourful tents and performers that line the streets of Caraval. For this reason, the setting in Caraval is significant. The setting for the story isn't a typical ordinary area. In reality, it's really significant and affects everything that happens.
Explain what the word mood means and how/why you picked the song that you picked?
I've decided on Melanie Martinez's song Carousel. Caraval's aura of mystery and magic appears in the song's unique, charming tone. It's exactly like you're in a strange game or a distorted carnival. The topics in Caraval and the lyrics to the book Carousel also have some intriguing similarities. They discuss being trapped in a cycle, not being able to distinguish between reality and fiction, and wanting to escape.
Conclusion of Caraval.
I completely fell in love with Caraval after reading it because of its captivating plot and magical environment. The book is a maze of illusions, magic, and shocking turns that kept me guessing right up to the very end. This is how I select images and words to create a big impact for different audiences. I begin by considering the various feelings and ideas that the book explores. Next, I select pictures and phrases that effectively communicate those emotions to my audience. For instance, I might choose scary and intriguing images and words that create suspense if the novel contains a lot of mystery and tension. Making the audience feel as though they are a part of the plot is the main goal.

when I need to boost my mood or re-focus, I do something I enjoy, such taking a walk outside or listening to my favourite music. I can get my thoughts straight and return to my presentation with a fresh perspective as a result of it. Technology and stress can have positive and negative effects. Being overly connected and overwhelmed with notifications can be stressful. On the other hand, it can also be an excellent tool for self care and relaxation. This year, technology has made it easier for me to access tools for mindfulness and relaxation as well as to stay in touch with loved ones. In an effort to improve my wellbeing, I've been using online fitness courses and meditation apps.

I find it easy to settle in with a community because it can be incredibly enjoyable and rewarding. For my part, I adore being a part of a community where people can encourage and support one another.

3. I take part in group or classroom activities that benefit the community, school, or class. Participating in activities that have a positive effect is one of the best ways to contribute. In the neighbourhood, school, or classroom, participation can genuinely change things.
I recently completed a really fascinating math project in which I had to design the classic Superman symbol. I created a big and a little logo from scratch using coordinates to place the names of the parts. It was a fantastic opportunity for me to express my creativity and demonstrate my mathematics skills. I’m rather pleased with the outcome, and it made me realize how enjoyable and useful math can be. I am eager to take on more amazing projects like to this one in the future. My strategies for collecting relevant information for specific tasks include completing thorough research using credible sources, reaching out to authorities or professionals in the field, and utilizing online databases and tools. Before starting a task, I also find it useful to brainstorm and make a list of the most important things I need to acquire. By combining these approaches, I make sure I have all the knowledge I need to approach any assignment with confidence. I use evidence to make judgments or decisions as demonstrated in this. For instance, I gathered evidence for my math assignment, which involved creating a logo using coordinates, by reading up on the basics of coordinate geometry and observing the methods used by skilled designers. I was able to make well informed conclusions. One technique for increasing self awareness that I can use to improve my mood or concentrate is mindfulness. I can develop a sense of clarity and calm by setting aside some time to concentrate on my breathing, notice my thoughts and feelings without passing judgment, and bring my attention to the here and now. It’s an excellent way to focus on my own needs and promote positivity. Improving my mathematics and geometry problem solving abilities may be one of my goals for the future. I may improve my knowledge and succeed in these areas by reviewing geometric principles, applying different methods to solve problems, and looking for more information.
This course is an incredible learning experience. I strongly advise you to take it. I made a lot of friends and created a lot of unforgettable memories. I’ve learnt so much from this course already, and even though it’s only been two months, I’m I’m a lot more confident cooking on my own than I was before I took this course. I’ve cooked a lot of recipes, but my favourite is the mac and cheese my partner and I made.
My partner and I cooked mac and cheese. The macaroni I used is wonderful for this recipe, with its tubular shape suitable for retaining the rich, creamy sauce. I used cheddar cheese, which melts beautifully into the sauce and provides an appealing sharp, tangy flavour. The pasta was cooked to be al dente, which means it’s soft enough to eat but still has a touch of bite. The cheese sauce was smooth and creamy, with no lumps. The cheese was completely melted into the sauce, imparting a rich, cheesy flavour. I acquired a fundamental cooking technique by making a roux. It serves as the foundation for many sauces and meals. I learnt how to mix flour and butter and cook it till it’s just right, not too raw or too black. I’ve also learned the significance of ratios and heat management. It’s a talent that demands time and precision. Regarding the roux. It’s a cooked mixture of equal parts flour and fat (typically butter). It thickens sauces, such as the cheese sauce in my mac and cheese. When you add milk to your roux, it thickens and becomes creamy. When you combine that with cheese, you create a thick, creamy, cheesy sauce that’s ideal for covering pasta. Macaroni and cheddar cheese are ideal for making mac and cheese. The form of the macaroni holds the sauce well, and the cheddar melts well, resulting in a creamy, savoury dish.
Making and Sharing Reflection: It was a memorable experience to make mac and cheese. Although it was not my first recipe, it rapidly became one of my favourites. The experience taught me about flavour balancing and improving a classic dish. It was quite fulfilling to share it at school and have my peers like it. The experience has strengthened my passion of cooking and pushed me to experiment with new recipes. By constantly experimenting with new dishes and techniques in the kitchen, I help to build and expand understanding. This not only enhances my cooking talents but also broadens my knowledge of various cuisines and flavours. Cooking is an ongoing learning experience for me.
Core Competency Reflection: My strategies for collecting relevant information for specific tasks include conducting online research, reading cookbooks, and watching cooking shows. I also enjoy talking to other cooks (Such as my father.) to get their unique perspectives and tips. Cooking and baking are examples of where I communicate effectively and purposefully. When I prepared Snickerdoodles, I clearly communicated the recipe and method so that my group could follow along and learn when they were confused. When there is disagreement within the group, I find it beneficial to initiate a discussion. It’s critical to consider everyone’s points of view and come up with a solution that works for everyone.I demonstrate that I value feedback from others in my group by always taking it into account. I value all suggestions, whether they are for new recipes or changes to old ones.
Moving forward in this cooking class, my goal is to take on the challenge of mastering a challenging recipe that has long piqued my interest. This would not only improve my cooking talents, but will also feed my passion for cooking. The totality of your online actions, profiles, and information about you is what I meant by “online presence”. I decided to include privacy controls since changing these settings can help you manage who can view what and reduce your digital footprint. Protecting your digital footprint from unwanted access or malicious activity is why I included cyber security. My word art includes personal information because your name, address, and phone number can be found online. Since your digital footprint can influence how people view you and your reputation. I decided to include data protection since it’s important to protect your personal information to reduce the hazards related to your digital footprint. I decided to include online tracking since there are methods used to track and record your online activity and leave a digital footprint. Footprint management is the category I’ve chosen since it refers to being aware of your online behaviour and taking action to manage and shape your online identity.
Having a large digital footprint may have adverse consequences. For instance, it can make it simpler for others to locate you and collect data about you. Additionally, it might affect your privacy and online reputation. These hazards can be reduced by being cautious about what you share online and by taking precautions to protect your personal information. Another reason is that your digital presence may be examined by some businesses as part of the employment process. Because of this, it’s important to use caution when posting online and to keep a positive online reputation.

This picture illustrates the situation before I finished my egg drop challenge. To prevent the egg from rolling about, we started by cutting the cardboard into four equal pieces.
We then started folding up our newspaper scraps and shoving them into the remaining spaces around the egg to make sure it would be less likely to break when we dropped it. The cardboard piece was placed on top to contain everything in the second image, as you can see, and straws were then placed all around the structure to keep the egg from shattering. Unfortunately, the fall caused our egg to crack.
In the picture, we were attempting to construct the tallest tower capable of supporting a gold ball. The height of our first tower was 6’7″. Then we attempted to make it taller.
This was our second try to make the tower taller; it stood at a height of 7’11” and could support a gold ball. Then we attempted to make it even taller, but we were unable. The results pleased us much.
CONCLUSION! We experimented with many tactics, learning from each attempt. When making observations and drawing generalizations or patterns from the results, we used inductive learning. In our golf ball tower challenge, we applied inductive learning by seeing how different tower designs affected the height and stability of the construction. We used deductive learning to design our egg protection mechanism for the egg dropper project by using engineering and science ideas.
SELF ASSESSMENT!
My favorite scientific lab is building the tallest tower that can support a golf ball. I am proud because my group and I were able to build the third highest structure in our class that could hold a gold ball. I had the opportunity to build relationships and practice my communication abilities. I used a few techniques to overcome the difficulty of constructing a stable structure for the golf ball. I started by equally distributing the weight to ensure that I had a strong foundation. To properly distribute the weight, I also changed the height and width of each segment of the structure.
What I did in both of my projects to use the scientific method steps: (Golf tower challenge.)
We chose the problem of constructing a tall tower that can support a golf ball for the tower challenge. Then we came up with our hypothesis, which was that we could build a free standing tower using the resources at hand that would produce enough power to hold the golf ball at the top. Then, by building different tower designs, we built and tested our theory. By building our final tower, we completed the experiment and presented our results.

The challenge of dropping an egg from a great height without it cracking was our first step. Then we came up with a hypothesis which was “if we work together as a team and use our materials effectively, then we can design a mechanism that will keep our egg from breaking.” Then we built many egg droppers to design and test our ideas. We completed the experiment and came to our conclusion.
Reflection! I demonstrated that I can create new things when I use my imagination and engineering skills.
I demonstrated that I can build on the ideas of others when I collaborate and brainstorm together.
I expect failure and setbacks when trying new things and use them to improve my ideas. When we ran into difficulties with what we were doing in the scientific method labs, for instance, we had a problem with coming up with a new design after the first one failed yet we didn’t give up. Instead, we learned from those setbacks and improved our strategies.
