Puerto Rico
Comparison to my home country
Their traditions/holidays are used as an expression of their culture. For sports it’s very similar to Canada. Although they focus on different sports than Canada such as boxing instead of hockey. Puerto Rico’s landmarks are more tropical than the cold weather in Canada, as Puerto Rico is under the equator and the land is fully surrounded by water.
I would visit this country because of it’s tropical weather and the culture that revolves around it. The landmarks. I would also go for the beautiful tourist attractions such as San Jose Church and the floating umbrella street.
Core Competency Reflection
I work with others to achieve a goal. I demonstrated this throughout the duration of this project. While working with others, we plan to set an expectation and we do our best to reach that goal.
I can identify my strengths and identify my potential. I display my strengths and potential by pushing myself the highest point that I can be. I try hard and work hard to achieve my goal and prove it in my work.
I give, receive, and act on feedback to progress my goals. With the feedback I receive from peers I do my best to include and evaluate the feedback on my work. I work around and with the feedback I get and I try to use it in my work so it I can get the best mark that I deserve.
I ask and respond to questions to be an active, supportive listener. I demonstrate this by asking the speaker question to be interactive and if I don’t get it. I bring my full attention to the speaker and stop myself from going on my phone by putting it in my bag.
My future goal
One of my future goals is that I find it easy to be part of a group. I will work towards this goal by interacting with more casements during my free time. Although, most of my peers in the class I know so it would be a bit easier to get comfortable around them in order to work as a group.
