During the blood lab, understanding the steps of the lab was the important part. I got prepared and asked questions to clarify the steps of the procedure and ensured I understood the instructions fully before starting. For example, when I initially struggled to collect enough blood, I asked my classmate show me on where and how to poke myself more effectively. This experience taught me the importance of listening , and following the right steps, which I will focus on improving further in future labs. The blood typing lab was a memorable experience, and I was excited to see the results. The goal was to determine our blood type by adding antigens to our blood on the slide. This lab highlighted the importance of clear communication and staying determined when faced with challenges. In future labs, I will try to improve by ensuring I fully understand the technique before starting to minimize errors. This experience has strengthened my confidence in conducting hands-on investigations and reinforced my ability to collaborate effectively with others.

The heart lab required us to analyze the heart’s structures as well as identify the parts of the heart. Our group decided to choose an unopened heart to fully experience the experiment. When our initial labels were incorrect, we used critical thinking as well as our resources to find the right answers. For instance, we carefully examined the heart’s chambers and vessels. This iterative process taught me that mistakes are a natural part of learning and that persistence and reflection lead to success.

The pig lab was one of my favorite, but most challenging lab of the semester. The lab required lot of patience, and focus to identify and label the correct parts of the pig. While working with my partner, we made several mistakes trying to locate the right parts, which was really frustrating. However, I suggested that we each try to label the parts that we now for sure are correct and then share our answers at the end. I supported us by staying calm, managing stress, and encouraging myself to learn from the mistakes rather than being discouraged by them. After three days of working on it , we finally managed to get all the labels correct. This lab taught me the importance of staying focused, and patient. Moving forward, I aim to improve my ability to stay organized and review instructions more thoroughly to decrease the chance of errors. This lab was also a valuable opportunity to strengthen my teamwork and collaboration skills. Working closely with my partner, I made an effort to maintain a respectful and inclusive approach. When we made mistakes, instead of blaming each other, we cheered each other on and divided tasks to make the process more efficient.
